Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony
Annual Prize Distribution is held every year after the Mid-Term Examinations to appreciate the students who have done well by awarding subject toppers and class toppers. Meritorious College also takes up this opportunity to encourage and appreciate students on their regularity by awarding Full Attendance Certificates. The institute awards outstanding students on their performances in their Board examinations of the previous years by awarding them cups. Students who have passed out and achieve A-1 grades in Board examinations are also invited along with their parents and are awarded cash prizes too. The event is fun-filled as it contains contributions from all students in the form of skits, plays and speeches that entertain all. This event also serves to be motivational for all those students who have the potential to achieve big.
Inter-Class Declamation Competition
An Annual inter-Class Declamation Competition is held at the roof of Meritorious College in which students from all classes participate. The students are given a list of motivational and thought-provoking topics to express their views in front of fellow Meritorians. The event is hosted by faculty members and judged by language teachers. The winners are awarded with educational gifts that can enhance the student’s knowledge and provide better insights to their thoughts. This event helps enrich the mental ability of the students. The students are allowed to seek help from teachers and utilize the books from the college library to prepare their speeches.
Inter-Class Essay Writing Competition
An Essay Writing Competition is organized for students of all classes within the college premises. Students are given a list of reflective and ideological topics to express their views on. The students participate in great numbers and the language teachers of the institute check their essays. This event helps polish the writing skills of the students as those essays that are not up to the mark are discussed with students guiding them through the basics of how to express their ideas in a much effective manner.
Independence Day Celebration
Every year students gather in the college to celebrate Independence Day. The day begins with a flag hoisting ceremony and then the students assemble at the roof of the college and sing patriotic songs and present speeches related to Pakistan and the leaders who fought selflessly for a separate homeland for the Muslims. The students participate with a lot of passion and zest for their homeland reading speeches of great leaders and orators like Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Allama Iqbal, Laiquat Ali Khan and Sir Syed Ahmed Khan. The campus is decorated with buntings and students wear badges of Pakistan flag.
Eid-Milad-un-Nabi (S.A.W.W)
Eid Milad-un-Nabi (S.A.W) is held during the prosperous month of Rabi-ul-Awal, each year. Students participate in Naat Khwani and put their religious souls in the event.
